VO2 Max Test

VO2 Max testing measures how much oxygen your body is able to consume while exercising at your maximum intensity. This enables you to accurately determine your level of cardiovascular fitness. The test is completed while running on a treadmill at increasing intensity levels as a machine measures your breathing output until you have reached your anaerobic threshold.

Schedule

a 45 minute test session.

Refrain

from exercise or endurance training for 24-hours prior to test.

Avoid

food, tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine for at least 3 hours before testing.

Wear

comfortable exercise clothing to the test - you will be working out!

Stretch

and warm up before testing

Push It!

The test is completed by exercising on a treadmill with gradually increasing intensity over a period of 5-20 minutes until the anaerobic threshold has been detected.

Report.

The VO2 test machine produces a fitness profile in a simple, insightful report where exercise zones are identified.

The results are reviewed and questions answered by a fitness consultant.
